Quick Start

These are the things you will do most. Each one is a short page: what it is for, the steps in order, and a picture of each step. The blue Show me in Utilops button opens your Utilops and points at each thing to click.

Pick the page for what you need to do today. You do not have to read them in order.

Office, every day

• 1. Sign in and find your way around
• 2. Look up a customer account
• 3. Take a payment at the counter
• 4. Post the day's mailed and online payments
• 5. Print a bill copy
• 6. Explain a bill
• 7. Daily close and deposit

Office, every month

• 8. Start or stop service
• 9. Enter meter readings and fix a bad one
• 10. Run the billing cycle and send the bills
• 11. Leak adjustments and other credits
• 12. Late fees, past due notices and shutoffs
• 13. Send a notice to one customer or everyone
• 14. Help a customer sign up on the portal
• 15. Pay a vendor bill
• 16. Reconcile the bank statement
• 17. Month end reports for the board
• 18. Add a staff member

Operator, every day

• 19. Fill in the daily log
• 20. Create, do and close a work order
• 21. Record a meter change

Operator, every month
