Asset Management
This covers everything under Asset Management on the left side of Utilops. Your wells, pumps, tanks, valves, hydrants and pipes, each as a record. Finding one. Adding one. Putting it on the map. Keeping its photos and papers. Planning its upkeep and writing down when it was done.
Take the lessons in order the first time. After that, come back to any one when you need a refresher. Inside Utilops, the Show me how button at the top of every page replays the walkthrough for that page.
Start with the quick start pages
Then the lessons
- Find an asset and open its record
- Add a new asset
- Put an asset on the map
- Add a photo or a file to an asset
- Schedule maintenance
- Mark maintenance done
- Retire an asset
- Undo a mistake
Then check what you learned. Seven questions, about five minutes.
Each page has a blue Show me button. It opens your Utilops and points at each thing to click. You do the step for real, then press Next. One button walks one path.
If something looks different
Meters are assets too, but they live under Metering. Inventory lists them with an Open in Meter Reading button. Readings, changes and reading routes are all under Metering.
Inspections and the maintenance log go through Work Orders. The Asset Inspections and Maintenance Log pages show what was done. To do a new one, you make a work order. Quick start page 20 shows how.
Photos are added on the asset itself. Media Manager shows every picture and file in one place, but the upload is at the bottom of the asset's own form, lesson 4.
Many pages are reports. Cost Tracking, Lifecycle Management, Analytics, Real-Time Tracking, AI Engine and Service Impact Modeling read your records and show totals. Nothing on them is required for daily work.
Categories & Types is set up once. The list you pick a category from comes from there. An administrator adds a new kind of equipment with Add Category.
