Dashboard and My Calendar

This covers the first two lines on the left side of Utilops. Dashboard is your home page. It shows what needs you today: alerts, the big numbers, a checklist and the dates coming up. My Calendar is your day, week and month, with your work orders, reminders, meetings and the state's deadlines on one page.

Everyone on staff uses these two pages, every day. Inside Utilops, the Show me how button at the top of every page replays the walkthrough for the page you are on.

Start with the quick start page

Then the lessons

  1. Start your day on the home page
  2. Use the quick actions
  3. Handle an item under Immediate Attention
  4. See your day on My Calendar
  5. Add a calendar item
  6. Put your Utilops calendar on your phone or Outlook
  7. Undo a mistake

Then check what you learned. Seven questions, about five minutes.

Each page has a blue Show me button. It opens your Utilops and points at each thing to click. You do the step for real, then press Next. One button walks one path.

If something looks different

Your home page may show fewer cards than a coworker's. The cards match the parts of Utilops your role can open. A meter reader sees meter reading; a clerk sees money.

Gas utilities see two more cards. Gas accounts and gas usage billed show under the big numbers. A water only utility never sees them.

Immediate Attention only shows when there is something. No alerts means no card. That is a good morning.

Office reminders for everyone are set under Settings, then Reminder Management. They show on your calendar too.

Written in plain words so anyone can follow it. If a step does not match your screen, tell us.
